Our Mission

Preparing young people to lead lives of purpose and adventure.

Thanks to our Chartered Organization, Northminster Presbyterian Church (weekly meetings will resume in August), we are a single destination in Springfield, OH for the youth of Northridge and the surrounding community to experience all that Scouting America has to offer.

Our mission is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices throughout their lives — instilling values that promote self-fulfillment, teamwork, leadership, and a lasting love of the outdoors.

Outdoor Adventure

Hiking, camping, canoeing, and exploring Ohio's wild places.

Lifelong Friends

A welcoming community of families and youth who grow together.

Service & Character

Hands-on service projects that strengthen our community.

Real Skills

From knots to leadership — skills that last a lifetime.

Camp Birch

440 acres of woodland, lake, and possibility.

Established in 1936, Camp Birch is the Tecumseh Council's outdoor home — a 440-acre retreat adjacent to Clifton Gorge, John Bryan State Park, and Glen Helen Nature Preserve.

A 300-seat dining hall, Olympic-size swimming pool, 10-acre lake, and miles of trails create the backdrop for everything from weekend campouts to summer-long adventures.

Weekly Meetings · Year-Round Adventure

More than meetings — moments that shape a life.

Each week brings something new: pinewood derby builds, knot-tying races, conservation projects, and the occasional toasted marshmallow. Whether you're brand new to Scouting or a returning family, there's a place for you here.
