Running June 8-12, Cub Scouts entering 1st though 5th grade are invited to participate in a fun-filled week of Viking adventures!
Cub Scout Day Camp is the perfect introduction to Summer Camp, and this year your Scout is invited to join the adventure. Day Camp is open to Cub Scouts entering 1st through 5th grade in the upcoming fall.
Our youngest Vikings (Tiger, Wolf, and Bear) will focus on rank advancement while building strength, courage, and Scout spirit. Webelos and Arrow of Light Scouts will sharpen their skills, take on greater challenges, and prepare for the journeys ahead, all while having an epic week of fun.
Camp runs daily from 8:45 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., and each day is filled with bold adventures worthy of a Viking saga. Scouts will:
Conquer the 40-foot climbing tower
Test their aim in archery, BB guns, and slingshots
Sail the waters of our 6-acre lake
Swim in our Olympic-size pool
Craft treasures in Handicraft
Explore the wild lands around camp in the Nature Lodge
And no Viking journey is complete without a stop at the Trading Post! Refuel with a snack or drink, cool off with a slushy, and claim your legendary Camp Birch gear.
Polish your shields, gather your crew, and prepare for an unforgettable week at Camp Birch where adventure awaits and legends are made!

Troops can participate during two sessions this summer (14-20 June; 21-27 June).
This year our Scouts BSA Summer Camp will have more structure and organized schedule to provide an excellent Scout focused program. We have created a schedule for many Merit Badges, while some areas will continue to offer flexible open programming and new activities throughout the week. Camp Birch strives to focus on running a high-quality program with activities for Scouts and adults of all ages to get the most out of their summer camp experience. In true Scouting fashion, we will emphasize the “Game with a Purpose” approach while maintaining Scouting’s’ high standards of safety and security in our higher-risk program areas.
Scouts will have the opportunity to sign up for scheduled sessions prior to camp through our Merit Badge registration system. Scouts must pre-register to secure their spot. Pre-registration for a structured Merit Badge offering is part of the individual Scout’s registration. With open programming, Scouts can simply go to the open program area and complete requirements for Merit Badges they want to take. For Merit Badge tracking purposes and space limitations, registration is encouraged. There may also be an additional fee associated with the structured Merit Badges that should be paid at the time of registration. While at camp, Scouts must plan their schedule to ensure they will be able to attend these structured Merit Badge classes for the entire time allotted.
